A small, site specific exhibit to highlight the quantity of non-recyclable plastic cups used by the college. A simple line of unfired, slip cast cups were filled with water at the start of the event, within hours the clay had disintegrated and the cups had disappeared. Inspired by the traditional Indian clay ‘chai’ cups which were once made in vast quantities and were a very sustainable way of selling tea. Sadly, these are now being replaced by plastic in many areas.
